Nice hotel inside and out, nothing to complain about.
The hotel is old and under reconstruction. The main gests are the big group of pensioners. The most of windows go to the parking/ The all windows are the bad quolity. So many problems with noise. During weekend the hotel put restaurant for wedding.
Excellent hotel though at week ends a lot of weddings which made it very busy.
The grounds were beautiful and the reception staff very friendly and helpful.
The pool was only decorative so could not swim.
Lovely friendly staff Beautifull surroundings excellant food comfortable rooms really nice atmosphere
Swimming pool & and garden, shuttle to Frascati station, WiFi
Reception at arrival could be more friendly, not easy to have a drink in the hotel garden
price/quality was ok as we could make booking at 50 €/night for double room and the hotel is for sure worth that amount. . Location i ok to see Roma by train or subway (Aragnina). Swimming pool and outside accomodation are nice
Hotel needs in general some maintenance: noisy bathroom, carpets should be renewed. Breakfast is quiet poor. Used for weddings so can be noisy.
It really is a stunning property, inside and out. Everything you would want an Italian Villa outside of Rome to be. That is what makes the rest of it so frustrating in sad. What this property could be versus what it is are two very different things. This place is only beautiful on the surface.
Where do I begin? There are so many things wrong with this hotel that I can only list a few. We confirmed via email that we wanted one bed - a double - and we had paid for and received confirmation via Booked.net that we would also have a deluxe room with a private balcony. When we arrived, we had twin beds, a cramped room, no balcony. When my husband went downstairs to tell them what we requested, the front desk clerk snapped at him: "I know, I know. I am the one who sent you the email confirming it!" She then traded our key for the room we had actually paid for. When we got there after a long journey, there were no towels in the room and it was not entirely prepared for guests, so we had to go back downstairs to get them. Incidetally, there are no signs anywhere in the labyrinthine hallways, and you are forced to walk the lengths of a large building in search of the right room. The tv is from the 80s and is a 12 inch tube tv. Really, is there any reason for any hotel to have those anymore? The hairdryer from a thrift shop (the box it was in gave it away) was broken. The restaurant was the biggest nightmare I have ever encountered in Italy, and I have been traveling there since I was a kid. First of all, there was a wedding and two large tour groups. This is clearly the bread and butter of the hotel, and as a result they don't care AT ALL about the individual traveler. We were served AFTER all of the wedding food came out, after the groups were served. It took over an hour to get our food. The waiter gave us one excuse: the chef is alone in the kitchen and doing the best he can. Astonishing. A wedding, two tour groups and regular Saturday night business and the chef is ALONE? By the time our food arrived, it was absolutely inedible. My husband's "filet steak" was two thin slices of overcooked meat (NOT filet by any means) - which had gone bad by at least a day. My very simple spaghetti with clams was undercooked and hard. It was NOT al dente.
The breakfast is the worst breakfast I have ever encountered throughout our travels. The quality of the food is below poor and we actually had to go somewhere else to have breakfast every morning.
That they did not inform us in advance that we could not use the swimming pool during our stay because they would arrange weddings on both days we were there. We booked this hotel because of the swimming pool.
This hotel was absolutely filthy. The carpets in the halls were soiled, stained and looked as though they hadn't been vacuumed in weeks. The rooms were depressing and the walls were scuffed and marked and dirty. We left shortly after checking in to find another hotel.
The hotel grounds were beautiful and the outside space looked luxurious however on closer inspection the swimming pool area needed cleaning and our bedroom was dated, but clean and comfortable. The bar prices were reasonable, breakfast average but overall value for the money. We would probably return if wanting to stay in the area outside of Rome.
Carpets were dirty and bedroom smelt of damp, it was better once the windows were opened. The swimming pool area was lovely to sit around but there were not any sun loungers
